The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has given final approval to 16 projects.
The final approval was given to these 16 projects at a cost of Taka 15 thousand 683 crore. Today, the projects approved in the meeting held at the NEC conference room in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. The meeting was chaired by ECNEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Eventually, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters.The minister said, the total cost of the project was Tk 8,7740 crore The remaining expenditure will be met from the public sector. The country's first Rooppur nuclear power plant is being implemented by coordinating the different phases. In addition, steps have been taken to build new railway lines to reach the project area safely and rapidly for heavy construction of Rooppur nuclear power plant at Ishwardi in Pabna.
