Start the training of journalists for peace and tolerance

Private Development Organization Society for Media and Sewable Newman Communication Techniques (Group) organized this training with the assistance of USAID's 'Unbreakable: Road to Tolerance' program.The training program will continue till Monday at the Bangladesh Press Institute in the capital. 25 journalists from different national level media are participating in the training.Former Chief Information Commissioner Golam Rahman inaugurated the training as the chief guest.He said, 'There will be conflict in the society, it is normal. But it is important to keep an eye on it as it does not turn into violence. And here's the media work place'.Golam Rahman said, "In the current context, media coverage will have to be different in presenting the news of violence. It should not be published or promoted in the minds of the reader-viewers, who can create turmoil and unrest''.
