To ensure health care for all, health service workers' jobs are permanent, government and non-government health workers have been demanding equal opportunities.
Bangladesh Health Service Workers Association (BHU) has demanded a human chain in front of the National Press Club on Friday to mark the World Health Day on 7 April.In the chairmanship of the organization's president Saleha Begum, human resources advisor Abul Hossain, acting president Mahmuda Akhter, general secretary Asha Akhter spoke in the chair.The speakers said thousands of service workers working in government, semi-government, autonomous and private hospitals, clinics, private development organizations in Bangladesh have been working for decades. Most of the health workers are currently recruited through outsourcing. Because of this, the recruits of government institutions in the same work enjoy many benefits. And out-of-service recruiting service workers are ultimately victims of labor and wages exploitation.
