The World Bank says around 250 million people in the world including Bangladesh are currently under the social security program.
Apart from this, at least 50 million people have been able to get out of extreme condition due to this program.This information was given in a report by the World Bank on Social Security.According to the World Bank, the number of over 65 million people under the social security program is 250 million. In such countries, such programs have made a big contribution to poverty alleviation.The World Bank report also said that social security programs are playing a big role in the war against poverty worldwide. Cash and money transfer in different forms, programs like food supply at schools, reduce poverty as well as reduce income-related poverty.
