President Abdul Hamid today expressed his satisfaction in the progress of construction of bridge by visiting Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project area of Munshiganj and Shariatpur.
The construction of this long-awaited bridge has completed 53% till March this year.The President arrived at Service Area-1 in Mawa area of Munshiganj at 2pm to visit Padma Bridge project area during a two-day visit. Here he is informed about the various activities of this bridge project implemented under the complete funding of the present government.
President Sino Hydro visited various areas including Madhyakhandi, Mawa to Kathalbari, Jajira Point, Padma bridge span and bridge construction.
He and his entourage witnessed the pillar of Padma Bridge and the natural beauty of the Padma river.
Earlier, the Secretary of Road Transport and Bridge Ministry Khandker Anwarul Islam informed the President about the construction work of the bridge. The President expressed satisfaction in the progress of construction work.
The President was informed that the construction of the bridge in December this year will be completed.
He told officials related to the construction work, I am really pleased to see the progress of construction of the bridge here.
