Police arrested five Bangladeshis on charges of armed robbery in India.
The money and jewelery were recovered from the five Bangladeshis. 9.98 lakh worth of the money was recovered.The Mumbai Police say that five people arrested in Kashimira area of the province of Thane are Bangladeshi citizens. Three of them had entered India by air a few days ago. The remaining two came on the train.The arrestees are Mohammad Palsa Ismail Hawladar, Bapi Akbar Sheikh, Mohammad Latif Sheikh, Mohammad Akram Irfan Ali and Lokman Chan Mia. The first four people are from Khulna district of Bangladesh and the other residents of Sylhet.The Mumbai Police claim that they entered a grill of a house near Thane Creek on the outskirts of the city on 22 March. They entered the house and looted Tk 10 lakh including goods. Later, while driving through the bridge of Bhasai and Versova in Mumbai, the vehicle was stopped and arrested.
