Awami League Advisory Council Member and Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu has urged BNP leaders to prove that elections will not be fair during the current government.
He said, "If the BNP could prove by participating in the 2014 elections, the elections under the government on a constitutional basis would not be fair, then their argument would have been today. I did not participate in the election, I did not prove, how do I oppose the election? '.Today, he said this at a discussion meeting on the occasion of the Independence Day organized by the team-mates of the erstwhile people of the country.
The minister said, "Democracy does not mean that any party will have to participate in the elections, democracy is established. If any party deliberately avoids participation in the elections, then the trend of democracy has been hampered, it can not be an argument. So whether we are trying to advance an undemocratic approach? Today my party can say that we will boycott the elections, if the continuation of democracy will continue''.
