Emphasizing the need for establishing own water resources management, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, to increase.
The navigability of the river such as dredging, and also to keep rainwater the water should be maintained.The Prime Minister said, 'Not dependent on anyone, we must make our own system ourselves. How can we keep the huge water coming in the rainy season? We have to see ourselves before that plan. '
He said, still the most important importance is given to the water resources ministry project in our country - not in the river dredging, but on the project of reclamation of the river and the construction of roads or rehabilitation for the people there. That is not their job at all. He said the works of the water resources ministry are related to river dredging and poly management.
The road will be made by the other ministries of the government and in the same way, the Prime Minister directed the concerned people to formulate the plan and take the project.
The Prime Minister said this while addressing the chief guest at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center's World Water Day-2018 on the occasion of the Water Resources Ministry.
