World Water Day will be celebrated on 27 March

Because of celebrating the historic success of qualifying from the LDC, the government has decided to celebrate the date of 27 March.Water Resources Minister Anwar Hossain Manju MP said this at a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday noon. The press conference was organized to celebrate the day in the ministry's hall.Anwar Hossain Manju said, the day will be observed due to appropriate importance and dignity throughout the country, like other countries of the world, responding to the UN call. The theme of this year's announcement of the UN is 'Nature for Water', the nature of water.He said World Water Day was celebrated to reduce the problem of safe water availability due to rising industrialization, improved living standards and climate change for socioeconomic development. As part of that, we will observe the day in Bangladesh.The minister said, according to the Vision 2021 of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the ministry has been working to implement the promise of providing safe drinking water for all. For this, there is a plan to bring the overall water management, river, haor and bauras free from pollution and to bring the navigability.
