Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will give independence medal-2014 to 18 special guests this year to give outstanding contribution to their respective fields.
The country's highest civilian honor will be awarded at the Osmani Auditorium at 10am tomorrow.Those who are getting this year's Independence Award are: Kazi Zakir Hossain (posthumous) in freedom and liberation war, martyr SMA Rashidul Hassan (posthumous) in freedom and liberation war, Shankar Govinda Chowdhury (posthumous) in the Liberation War, Liberation War and Air Vice Marshal (Retired) Sultan Mahmud (Bir-Uttam), M Abdur Rahim (posthumous) in the Liberation War, Liberation War Bhupati Bahudan Chaudhary alias Manik Chaudhary (posthumous)
