BNP's Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the leader of the party, is getting similar to the BNP's allegation that the 'minimum standards of democracy are not accepted' in Bangladesh.
He said, BNP has been saying earlier about the kind of information that has come up in the research report. Now the reflection is happening.The BNP secretary-general said this while talking to the party's central office at Nayapaltan on Saturday noon.
A German research organization commented that Bangladesh is now under dictatorship and there is no longer a minimum standard of democracy. BBC Bangla released the report.
After a study of democracy, market economics and good governance in 129 countries, the German firm Bertelsmann Stiftung said this in their report. The report was published on Friday.
Referring to the report, Mirza Fakhrul said, "Bangladesh is among the five countries one of the five countries in the world, where democracy has taken off and dictatorship has been established."
