He was elected in a session held in the country's parliament in Nepali, Nepal. Wu was former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
In context, the vacuum of U Wein Moyant was fulfilled by selecting a new speaker. The vacuum created due to U Win Miyant resigning from the post of Speaker on Wednesday.
