Following the deaths of three, the state of emergency in Sri Lanka has been lifted from March 4.
On Sunday (March 18th), the country's president, Maithripala Sirisena, announced in a tweet that the state of emergency would be relaxed.
He said after evaluating the situation of the security of the country's general public, I had ordered to withdraw the emergency rule from midnight on Tuesday.
Earlier, a state of emergency was announced in Sri Lanka after a series of attacks on Muslim business.
Curfew was issued in some areas in Central Candy city. The majority of Buddhist Sinhalas were vandalizing and torching shops and houses owned by Muslims. Besides, 12 Muslims were injured in this communal clash.
