Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Fazle Rabbi Mia said, there is no substitute for physiotherapy in the field of post-stroke medical rehabilitation.
He urged the health department for the development and expansion of such treatment.
He said this while addressing the inaugural session of the seminar titled 'The importance of information technology in physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment' organized by the Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA) at the LGD Auditorium in Agargaon, this morning. President of the association Nasirul Islam presided over the function. Earlier, the Deputy Speaker inaugurated the database of the Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association.
Md. Fazle Rabbi Mia said, "Physiotherapy is not only going to be centered in the capital and other big cities." In such remote areas, this type of treatment will be extended further.
Urging physiotherapist to keep health care not limited to professional responsibility, she said, you have set a bright example of human habitation through post-stroke treatment. But not only should the services of the wealthy be served. You also need to expand the area of your services for the poor and helpless people of the country. You also have a social and humanitarian obligations to the people.
