Suicide attack in Pakistan killed 5 police

The attacker blows himself off the bomb. This suicide bomb attack happened near the residence of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing. Rescue officials said that the blast occurred near a search checkpoint. A few kilometers away from Nawaz Sharif's palatial house and a checkpost on the Tabligh Jamaat near Marakaj.

DIG (operation) Haider Ashraf said that hundreds of people from all over the country are expected to attend the bilateral gathering of Tablig. A search checkpost was set up for their safety. At 9:20 pm, a teenager was stopped by police members if he wanted to enter the venue. Then he blown himself. All of the 12 policemen present there were seriously injured. Later, five policemen, including two sub-inspectors, died in the wounded. He said four civilians were killed in this. The injured were being treated at different hospitals.
