Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said financing is important for achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs).
In order to provide money, the activities of associate countries and development organizations have to be increased. Besides, regional trade alliances must be proactive and emphasis should be on individual investments.
He said this while addressing the International Conference on 'Financing sustainable growth and development' organized by Finance Department at the Department of Business Administration auditorium of Chittagong University.
Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said, in the last three years, the growth has increased to 7 percent from the circle of 6. This year, the growth can reach 7.5 percent, which is higher than the target.
He said that if the target of poverty alleviation of the country is set to 2030, it will be possible to eliminate poverty within 204.
