Speaker Dr.Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury called upon the people of all walks of the country to utilize the merit of merit, eligibility and advance the country.
She said that if half the population of the country can be involved in the mainstream of development of women, it will be easier to build a prosperous Bangladesh.She said this while addressing a seminar organized by East West University on the occasion of International Women's Day-2011 on the East West University auditorium on Monday.Speaker said that the struggle for women's rights will be successful if women's talents develop properly. Women empowerment is visible today Women have come forward in all the profession in Bangladesh today. Empowerment of women to take country and nation forward needed.Emphasizing women's economic empowerment is very important, she said, empowerment of women will be fruitful if women take part in decision-making.Emphasizing the need for women-friendly service sector, the speaker said that women want favorable work environment.She also urged for the provision of hostel facilities for working women and increase in the benefits of women in the private sector including safe health and safe prospects.
