The Appellate Division has upheld the High Court order after eight weeks in advance for the custody.
Bangladesh Test cricket captain Mushfiqur Rahim's father Mahbub Hamid, in connection with the murder of Masum Ferdous, a ninth-grade student of Situ Herman Meinar College in Bogra.An appeal bench of the three judges led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on Monday issued the order.Barrister Rokon Uddin Mahmud and lawyer Jahidul Bari were on behalf of Mushfiq's father in the court. Deputy attorney general Khandaker Diliruzzaman was present in the state.Earlier, last month, the High Court granted bail to Bangladesh Test cricket captain Mushfiqur Rahim's father Mahbub Hameed for eight weeks. The bench of the High Court comprising Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice Krishna Debnath passed the order. After the petition was postponed, the prosecutor appealed in the appeal division.
