The US-based donor organization International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been removed from the Bangladesh Bank Building and taken to Agargaon.I
t is known that the measures have been taken to reduce the security risk of the Bangladesh Bank after the Reserve theft incident. However, in the other sources, it is known that, in their own interest, IMF has shifted their office from the Bangladesh Bank Building to the World Bank Building in Agargaon.Resident correspondent of IMF Dhaka Stella Kendara confirmed the matter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 20 through a letter. In their letter, their current position was mentioned in 'Agargaon Plot-i, 32, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar (Third Floor) Dhaka-1207'. All foreign missions working in Bangladesh including the Ministry of Finance, ERD, Bangladesh Bank governor, were given the letter given to the Foreign Ministry.
