The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has been investigating the allegations of embezzlement of machine readable passport (MRP) and visa processing fees for 65 billion taka.
According to ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, the decision was taken to investigate the allegations made by the commission on Sunday against the concerned officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.He said a three-member investigation team led by ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain has been formed to investigate the allegation. In the next 30 days, the commission has been asked to submit the inquiry report. The other two members of the investigation team are - Deputy Director Ahmuruzzaman and Assistant Director Shulshan Anwar.
