BNP leader Moudud Ahmed alleged that the Awami League can be brought back to power instead of returning the voting rights of the people, the Election Commission (EC) is working on it.
He made this accusation at a discussion titled 'National election demand under Assistant Government' organized by a organization called 'Nationalist Generation 71' in the National Press Club on Saturday.Criticizing EC's declared roadmap for organizing eleventh parliamentary elections fairly well, the BNP leader said that the proposal of EC's roadmap has no action plan to bring back the voting rights of the people. Instead, the commission is trying to make Awami League again in power through this one-party election.The BNP standing committee member also commented that the EC does not have any issues to resolve the political crisis created in the country.He said the present problem of the country is not constitutional, political crisis. The country's current crisis will be resolved by negotiating with political parties, not by the sake of the constitution. Once the political parties are united and bring back the voting rights of the people, democracy will return to the country again.
