Zia Orphanage Trust has been asked to issue arrest warrant against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia as she did not appear before the court in the corruption case.
The judge of the Special Judge Court-5 of the temporary Dhaka-based Parade Grounds was held in Bakshibazar, Old Dhaka on Thursday. Md. The application was made in the court of Aktheruzzaman. ACC lawyer Mosharraf Hossain Kajol appealed this. However, the court did not issue any order.The matter was adjourned for the hearing on Thursday for Khaleda Zia's defense. But Khaleda Zia did not appear in court today. ACC lawyer Mosharraf Hossain Kajol rejected the bail petition and asked for the arrest warrant.Sanaullah Mia filed a medical certificate on behalf of Khaleda Zia who went abroad for treatment.
