The administration of US President Donald Trump has decided to stop arms and training to armed groups fighting against Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was providing arms and training to them under a project.The Washington Post reported on Wednesday, quoting two US officials, in a report.Since 2013, the Obama administration has taken up arms and training programs to rebel Syrian President Bashar Assad. But their achievements have rarely been achieved in this field.Before the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 7, CIA chief Mike Pompeau and National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster met with the officials. The decision was made there.US officials, who are unwilling to reveal the name, told the Washington Post that President Trump is trying to close relations with Russia by stopping CIA support for Syrian rebels.
