Indian government has canceled the passport of controversial religion campaigner Zakir Naik.
Because the request was not given to the notice and was not present in the body, the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA), the regional passport office in Mumbai canceled his passport on Tuesday.The NIA is investigating allegations of terrorism and money laundering against 51-year-old Zakir Naik. After being accused of spreading hatred in the lecture, Zakir Naik went to Saudi Arabia after leaving India in July last year. Meanwhile, the government of India started an investigation against him after allegations that several Zakir militants of Jamaat-e-Islami attackers used to follow him regularly. Later, allegations of money laundering were also brought against his established Islamic Research Foundation.The London-based Middle East Monitor reported in May that the Saudi government has given Naik citizenship. But he could not verify the truth. In January of last year, Zakir Naik's passport was renewed for 10 years. The NIA filed a lawsuit against Naik on November 18 in various sections of the Indian Penal Code against Mumbai.
