Women of Bangladesh are being subjected to severe discrimination in terms of life-saving opportunities and ownership of economic assets.

Although gender equality has improved in education and healthcare.A report related to the 'Gender Support and Development of the Country' of Independent Assessment Division of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) ADB has prepared the report for a decade long evaluation.ADB's Independent Assessment Division's Chief Evaluation Specialist On-On-Hon said this at a program held at the Sonargaon Hotel in the city on Monday.It is said in the report that there is huge potential for infrastructure projects in the economic empowerment of women in Bangladesh. If the infrastructure project is more dynamic, the gender discrimination of the country will be reduced. From 2005 to 2015, ADB has provided Bangladesh 9 billion US Dollar assistance to various projects. Of this, $5 billion was in the infrastructure sector. The report was based on these projects.
