As a result, the contribution of the fisheries sector has increased in the national economy. More employment opportunities have been created in this sector.She also said, we have taken various initiatives to manage the natural water bodies, to protect the aquatic biodiversity, to manage environmentally friendly and advanced technology. As a result, increased fish production of the country increased to 38 lakh 78 thousand metric tons in the fiscal year 2015-16. Our place is the fourth in the world to get fishery in the internal water.
