The High Court has directed the Bangladesh Bank to take steps to postpone the election of the Board of Directors of the National Credit and Commerce Bank (NCC).
In view of a writ petition, the judge said. The bench of the High Court comprising Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Ashish Ranjan Das gave the order.Advocate Ahsanul Karim argued for the petition in the court. The lawyer was accompanied by Farzana Khan.Earlier, the bank's director Harun-ur-Rashid filed a writ petition challenging the legality of the disqualification of the board's board of directors. The court ordered the Bangladesh Bank to take action against the writ petition on the writ petition. However, the annual general meeting of the bank is not a barrier, said lawyer.The Board of Directors of the National Credit and Commerce Bank will be held on Monday.
