Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said that trees protect the environment as they protect the environment on one hand, and provide free oxygen to the people.
Many people buy oxygen in the hospital, but the government does not plant a tree beside the house even after telling them many times.He said everybody should plant at least one tree.He said these as the chief guest at the discussion meeting in the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Saturday noon.Presided over by Nalchity Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ashraful Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Saidur Rahman spoke among others. District Council Chairman Sardar Md. Shah Alam, General Secretary of District Awami League Khan Saifullah Cheese, Nalchity Upazila Awami League President and mayor Taslim Uddin Chowdhury and general secretary Upazila Parishad Advocate Yunus Laskar.
