In the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement, 10 purchases have been approved for the cost of 1104 crore.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith in the chairmanship of the meeting was presided over by the members of the committee, secretaries and senior officials were present in the conference room of the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat. After the meeting, Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division Mostafizur Rahman highlighted various aspects of the purchase process.Additional Secretary said a proposal of an additional expenditure of 5 crore 62 lakh 43 thousand taka for the 11 storied building of Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat and other services was approved.He said a proposal worth an additional 25 crores 62 lakhs was approved for the main river system under the Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project.
