Bangladesh Bank has ordered to close all branches of commercial and scheduled banks in 5 upazilas of four districts of the country on the occasion of the election of the union council.
The announcement has been issued from the bank's Department of Offices Supervision on Wednesday. Bangladesh Bank has ordered Bank sources said that all the scheduled activities have been sent to the Chief Executives of the Bank. It has been said that for the purpose of applying the votes of the officers and employees to the election of 23 Union Parishad elections, Ranisankail of Thakurgaon district, Sadar and Mudhpur of Tangail districts, Mehedanganj and Brahmanbaria of Barisal Scheduled Bank located in Nabinagar upazila of the district All branches, including the Regional Office of Kulor, will be closed.
