Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has held a meeting with NGO representatives to prevent chikungunia disease.
The meeting was held at the bank floor seminar room in the city's capital city on Wednesday.The meeting was chaired by the chief executive officer of DSC Khan Mohammad Bilal. The chief health officer of the corporation Brigadier General Sheikh Salahuddin, Chief Slum Development Officer Abu Taleb Mohammad Moazzem Hossain and representatives of 19 NGOs were present in the meeting.It is said in the meeting that the trees of Adis mosquitoes are spreading in the accumulated water at almost 70 percent of the buildings on which the garden / trees are planted on the roof. To this end, the NGOs are urged to play the role of being associated with the program as a partner in making aware issues related to it.The mosquitoes of the underground building, the abandoned building, the trunk of the plant, the AC, the refrigerator, the flower tub, the tires, empty cans, and the doves are stored in the water. As well as taking necessary steps to remove these, as well as urged to strengthen the distribution of awareness leaflets to prevent chikungunia disease in the house.
