Rice Research Institute Bill Passed

In the light of this law, the institutes will conduct research to combat the risk of climate change, including the increase of rice production, the development of improved and high yielding varieties.Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury passed the bill on Wednesday in the parliament when it was proposed to pass the bill.Opposition members proposed to send the bill before passing the bill and sending it to the committee. But that proposal was rejected in the voice vote. Later the bill was passed unanimously. The bill was introduced in Parliament on 30 January.The bill proposed to abolish the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute Ordinance. It has been said in the passed bill that this institute is in collaboration with various organizations including national and international organizations to increase rice production and to cultivate improved and high yielding varieties.
