Egypt seeks Bangladesh's support to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director General (DG) election.
On Monday, a five-member delegation led by Egyptian Ambassador to Bangladesh Moushari Khattab met with Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at the Secretariat office in the Secretariat.Egyptian Embassy Charge d'Affaires Walid Shamseldin, deputy head of mission Shahab Makki, third secretary Ahmed Zaki and Egyptian Foreign Ministry's first secretary Ahmed Savi were also present.During the meeting, they discussed various topics related to bilateral interest. There are also discussions on various aspects of the education system of Bangladesh.During this, the Education Minister said that the number of students in Bangladesh has increased threefold in the last 8 years. It is possible to bring all the boys to school. Gender equality has been achieved till secondary level. Millennium targets are possible by 2012
