Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has gone to Geneva for a four-day visit to the World Trade Organization (WTO) director general.
His visit to Geneva to attend the meeting of the 'Sixth Global Review of Aid for Trade'.On Monday morning he left Dhaka for Geneva. He is scheduled to return to his country on 14 July.Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will make important comments in the high level session of the Global Review. Here he will highlight the position of Bangladesh. Aid for Trade in Asia and the Pacific: Promoting Connectivity and Inclusive Development, he is expected to speak in a round table session.Apart from this, the Commerce Minister will meet in the bilateral meeting with Director General of the World Trade Organization, ITC Director General and the Director General of Angtard, the UK's International Development Minister and Senior Director of the World Bank. The meeting will be held in discussions with various issues including trade.
