Responding to the question of the ruling party MP Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury in the question-answer session on Sunday, Forest and Environment Minister Anwar Hossain Manju told the information.The minister said a task force has been formed in coordination with the leaders of various government organizations led by the shipping minister to prevent river pollution. This taskforce takes effective steps to determine and implement the work through regular meetings. Apart from this, all the waste-making factories have been mandated to set up waste disposal (ETP) and environmental clearance.In response to the question of Awami League member Didarul Islam, the question of Anwar Hossain Manju said, the Climate Change Trust Fund has allocated Tk 3,100 crore from the fiscal budget of 2009-10 to 2016-17. Already 501 projects have been taken from Trust Fund. Of these, 213 projects have been successfully completed. Apart from this, other steps have been taken to combat climate change risks.
