Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCCC) mayor Anisul Haque said the country needs a meaningful election for business-friendly investment.
In a roundtable titled 'Highly Critical Political Process and Participatory Elections' held in the city's Lexhore hotel on Saturday, he said. The Institute of Conflict, Law and Development Studies (I-Clads) organized this roundtable.Mayor Anisul Haque also said that in the speech of special guests, everyone wants the best election in the democratic environment. And there is also a meaningful election requirement for business investment in the country.He said that there is not much debate about the current election commission. All political parties are discussing with EC. As a result, a meaningful election is possible if the Election Commission (EC) wants it.
