Social Development Foundation (SDF) for the successful implementation of anti-poverty programs with special emphasis on women.This information was given in a press release of the company's Dhaka office.World Bank Dhaka office spokesman Mehrun A Mahbub said the new life of the non-profit company under the Ministry of Finance, Livelihood Improvement Project, received South Asian Regional Vice-President Award last week.In this regard, World Bank Country Director of Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, Chimaoya Fan said that SDF has been given this award as recognition of the innovative efforts of women in the poor and disaster prone areas of Bangladesh.He said 94 percent of the beneficiaries of the project, about 6,59,000 families, were able to come out of poverty cycle. We are proud to receive South Asia Regional Vice Presidency Award.
