Awaiting resolution of Rohingya issue in bilateral talks

When the National Security Advisor of Myanmar Wong Thun Tun met the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said, "We will solve the problem by bilateral".After the meeting, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim apprised reporters.The Prime Minister said it would be normal between two neighboring countries. But we are able to solve problems through negotiation. In this context, he mentioned the problem of Chittagong Hill Tracts.Sheikh Hasina said nearly 30 thousand registered Rohingya refugees are living in Bangladesh. But the actual number is about 4 million. They will be victims of extreme weather in the rainy season. He said Bangladesh is ready to cooperate in the rehabilitation of the Rohingya.The Press Secretary said the Prime Minister has drawn attention from the country's national security adviser about the trafficking of drugs especially in Yaba from Bangladesh. In response, Myanmar's Security Advisers assured all types of cooperation to combat drug smuggling.
