Attorney General Mahbubey Alam has expressed his disappointment over the decision of the High Court to cancel the sixteenth amendment in the hands of the Jatiya Sangsad.
After the verdict on Monday, he expressed his disappointment to the journalists.The attorney general said, "I am very disappointed in this verdict. Today, in the context of this verdict, we had hoped that the dream was to return to Article 96 of the Constitution''.Asked whether the judge's removal power came back to the Supreme Judicial Council due to the ruling of the court today, he said, "I do not reinstate. In my opinion, the paragraph that the parliament has abolished parliament will not automatically be restored. In this situation, in my opinion, the vacancy of judiciary is prevailing. Parliament's job is not to court any more''.
