From midnight on Friday, the authorities concerned started preparatory operation to catch illegal workers in Malaysia.
This decision has been taken as the e-card registration deadline has passed.The process of registration of e-cards has begun to validate illegal workers since February 15 this year. Up to Thursday (June 29th), 14,551 employers have registered 2,060,981 people.E-card has been issued for 1 lakh 40 thousand 746 people. But this number is only 23 percent of the authorities' expectations. The immigration department in Malaysia had targeted nearly six million illegal immigrants under the e-card.
