The budget for the new fiscal year (2017-18) has been passed in Parliament by bringing some changes.
Before the discussion will be pruning proposal.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has proposed to make big changes in the revenue sector in the budget next year. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will propose to finalize the proposal for the final passage of the parliament by cutting it in light of the Prime Minister's proposal.Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith proposed a budget of Tk 4,266 crore for the fiscal year 2017-18, with the importance of power, energy and human resources development sector on June 1. The size of the proposed budget is 17 percent higher than the original budget of 2016-17 and 26 percent more than the revised budget.
