During the War of Liberation, the International Criminal Court (ICC) chairman Justice Silvia Alejandra Fernandez expressed his satisfaction over the trial of war criminals.
Justice Silvia expressed satisfaction at the meeting of Bangladesh Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, visiting the ICC office at The Hague, Netherlands. The information was released on Thursday in a press release sent by the Supreme Court.The ICC chairman said Bangladesh's experience in the trial of war crimes will play an important role in the development of overall justice system at the national level.During the meeting, Deputy Prosecutor of the Netherlands Inter-Governmental Organization James Stewart was also present.Justice SI Sinha, who is leading a six-member Bangladeshi delegation on the Hague tour, The ICC has also informed about the appointment of the international lobbyist in exchange for money to create obstacles in the war crimes trial.Justice SC Sinha said that for the trial of the war criminals, the first of the three Supreme Court judges was brought to trial with the International Criminal Tribunal. Later, another tribunal was formed and the trial of the war criminals came forward.
