BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has reached the special court to appear in the case of Zia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust corruption case.
Khaleda Zia reached court on Thursday at around 11pm. Five Special Judge of temporary Dhaka, located in the Parade Ground of Bakshibazar, Old Dhaka. Md. Akhtaruzzaman's trial is going on in both the courtsIn the case of Zia Orphanage Trust case, Khaleda Zia's case will be adjourned for adjudication. And in the Zia Charitable Trust case, Khaleda's self-defense hearing is scheduled for the unfinished statement. However, Khaleda Zia's lawyers will re-investigate the investigation officer of the case before the ACC deputy director Harun-ur-Rashid. The court will hear Khaleda's incomplete statement on hearing herself after hearing the case.On December 1 last year, Khaleda Zia surrendered in the Zia Charitable Trust case. In self-defense he claims to be completely innocent. Then he gave a written statement to the court. His speech was not finished that day.
