The Foreign Secretary, Bangladesh's candidate in the United Nations Committee on the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of the Families (CMW), got the maximum vote.

As a result, Bangladesh re-elected to the United Nations CMW election.Foreign Ministry sources said on Thursday.The Ministry has been informed, Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque was re-elected as the member of 46 votes out of 51 votes in the 2018-2021 elections held in the UN headquarters yesterday.That is the highest vote of any candidate in the election of CMW. The Foreign Secretary will work as an independent expert for a four-year-long committee.
