The country's chief prosecutor has accepted allegations of corruption against Brazilian President Michael Timar.
He is charged with accepting money from the owner of Brazil's biggest meat packet company. However, Timar denied the allegations of his involvement with corruption.The case has been submitted to the Supreme Court for hearing. To take further action, the court will now decide whether it will be sent to parliament or not.Last month, Brazil's largest meat packaging company JBS Chairman Zaestery Batista and chief executive Wesley Battista presented a secret recording. In this, Timer was heard to support the proposal to bribe the former Congressman's lower house speaker Kunhah in the country's biggest corruption investigation.According to the BBC, there may be more allegations of corruption against Timar in the next few weeks.
