BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed has claimed that it is unlawful to start the demolition of Gulshan's house in Raozak's drive.
He told reporters in response to the breakdown of the house on Sunday.Moudud said, "There is no court order and there is no notice. What they are doing, they are doing all kinds of work. Power is more effective than law''.He said, "There is a writ petition on the house pending in the High Court, which will be heard on July 2. I have filed another title suit in the lower court, it is also pending for hearing. I think that this kind of operation is totally nothing but a terribly contempt for the court during the courts' trial''.Moudud said, "The government does not believe in the minimum basic rights of the people. The government has proved that it is not a matter of legality, law, and constitution''.
