Books have been distributed to these school libraries under the conversion project in the Model Schools of the selected private schools in 315 upazilas.
The book was handed over to Headmaster of 315 Model Schools at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium in Segunbagicha, capital on Monday.Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was present as the chief guest. 436 books are provided for each school library.At the time, the Education Minister said, along with the textbooks, the learners will also have to acquire knowledge about other issues. That's why they have to read books beyond their textbook. It is very important for the students to read books in their mental development.He said that in every upazila, a private secondary school has been converted into model school. Under this project, three storied buildings have been constructed in 312 schools and modern equipment and furniture including multimedia classrooms have been provided. 522 crore 67 lakhs spent in this project. He said that books of 1 lakh 28 thousand rupees are being provided for each school.Education Minister said teachers must play a key role in improving quality of education. The teacher's role in achieving the goal of our education is most important. So teachers must be devoted and teaching them to create a perfect human with moral values. As a responsible human being, they should be imitated from the immoral act as far away from their values.
