Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought Moroccan investment in the economic zones of Bangladesh for mutual interest of the two countries.
She said, we are developing 100 economic zones across the country for industrialization and employment. Morocco can invest in these economic zones. Both countries will benefit from this.When the newly appointed Ambassador of Morocco to Bangladesh Majid Halim would call on the Prime Minister at the Prime Minister's Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban office on Monday, the Prime Minister said this.She said, we can identify cooperation sectors through discussions in mutual interests.Referring to the success of Bangladesh in the agricultural sector, the Prime Minister said, Bangladesh's experience can exchange with Morocco. Bangladesh's economy was largely dependent on agriculture and it was very difficult to provide food for all the people of the country. We have increased food production through research. Food security is guaranteed to 16 million people. There is no food crisis in the country.Referring to her goal of making Bangladesh a better and prosperous country, the Prime Minister said, we are working to fulfill the dreams of Bangabandhu becoming a poverty-free Sonar Bangla. GDP growth of 7.24 percent and per capita income increased to US $ 1602 due to various steps taken by the current government.She reiterated his government's zero tolerance policy against terrorism and militancy and mentioned the communal harmony prevailing in the country, said people of all religions are performing their religion peacefully.
