The draft of the online media policy approved the cabinet

It has been said that all the online media of the country must be registered. However, there is no separate registration required for the online version of the newspaper.Broadcasting Commission will also monitor online media such as broadcast media (radio, television). This commission will be constituted under the National Broadcasting Act, which is under implementation.Until the commission is formed, the Ministry of Information will supervise online press. The National Broadcast Commission will create a 'guideline' for online press. Ad rates and fees will be determined accordingly.The approval was given at the cabinet meeting held at the Parliament Secretariat on Monday morning. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told the Secretariat in a briefing.He said, "The Ministry of Information presented the proposal. After the discussion-review, the policy draft has been approved''.The secretary said that online media will have to register from the National Broadcast Commission, which is formed according to the broadcast law. The registration fees will be determined by the commission. They are the only way to fix online media management.
