Nutrition security is a challenge now:PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "Nutrition security is a challenge now. Providing adequate fruits in the daily diet list can meet the nutritional needs. Our native fruits are rich in nutrients. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the cultivation of native fruits year after year by combining the modern technologies plannedly''.Sheikh Hasina said this in a message on Thursday on the occasion of fruit tree plantation party and national fruit exhibition.The Prime Minister said the importance of the native fruits and fruit trees is important in meeting the demand of food and nutrition, increasing disease prevention, enhancing merit, supply of oxygen and precious wood, poverty reduction, tackling natural disaster and the balance of the environment.Quoting the agrarian policy of the Awami League government, the Prime Minister said, there has been a great success in producing grains and vegetables as well as vegetables and fruits as well as being self-produced. Now a challenge to achieve nutritional security is a challenge.
